Periodic check: Inspect the padded shoulder strap stitching and carry handles every few months for wear, especially if you're regularly carrying a cat near the 15 lb limit.

Storage: Once dry, collapse the frame flat and store it somewhere dry between trips to keep the fabric and mesh from creasing or holding odor.
